Here’s how to focus on detailed or summary data for a particular item in a Pyramid Analytics report.
Let’s say we want to compare how many Mathematics students were enrolled in fall of 2011, 2012 and 2013. This is summary data so we can view this by drilling down into the College of Arts and Sciences and then right + clicking on the Mathematics department and selecting “Member Selection > Focus on Entire Row.”
“Focus on Entire Row” will show us summary data for the item.
But what if we wanted to compare how many junior- and senior-level Mathematics students were enrolled in the fall of 2011, 2012 and 2013?
I’ll use the back button to return to the College of Arts and Sciences data and then right + click on the Mathematics department and select “Member Selection > Focus.”
Now we can see the detailed data, just like in the main report, but we’re focusing on that data for the Mathematics department.
To view summary data, we can use “Member Selection > Focus on Entire Row” and to view detailed data on an item we can use “Member Selection > Focus.”
